In the event that your Maniko nails come off, we would like to give you some helpful tips to ensure optimal adhesion.
1. Before applying the nails, we recommend washing your hands thoroughly with washing-up liquid. This will remove any oil and dirt residue from the nail surface, allowing for better adhesion.
2. Use our Maniko Prep-Pads (alcohol wipes) to clean the nail surface. The Prep-Pads contain alcohol, which thoroughly removes oil residues from the nails and thus ensures optimal adhesion.
3. Make sure that your nails are free of nail oil or cream, as these can affect the adhesion of the Maniko nails.
By following these simple steps, you can ensure that your Maniko nails will be strong and long-lasting. If you still have problems with adhesion, don't hesitate to contact us. Our customer service team will be happy to help you.
If you're having trouble filing your manicure nails or the edge looks ragged, we'd like to help. Here are some tips to achieve a clean and precise nail edge:
1. Cure the Maniko Nails first and then file them down. The hardened strips are often easier to file. Proceed as follows: Shorten the strips after application and leave them about 1-2 mm above the nail edge, cure the strips for 1 minute under the Maniko UV LED lamp, then file them down to the appropriate length.
2. Use the finer side of the nail file or an additional buffer file to gently file down the edge of your Maniko nails. Always start from the outside and file towards the center. This avoids fraying and creates a clean appearance. Always file in one direction and avoid back and forth movements.
3. Make sure to perform the filing movements evenly and gently. Avoid applying too much pressure to minimise the risk of damage to the strip.
4. To smooth the edges and achieve an even shape, you can use a buffer at the end. This will help to remove any unevenness and achieve a smooth, even edge.
By using these filing techniques and proceeding carefully, you can achieve a beautiful result and make your manicure nails look professional. If you have any further questions or need help, please do not hesitate to contact us.
If you find that the Maniko Gel Strips are too small for your nail bed, we would like to give you a few tips on how you can still get the most out of them:
1. One option is to carefully stretch the strips widthwise. Take the desired strip and hold it between your fingers at the sides. Gently pull in opposite directions to stretch the strip slightly. Make sure you do this carefully and evenly to avoid overstretching or tearing. You can also stick one side to the nail first and then carefully stretch the other side between two fingers towards the edge of the nail.
2. For particularly wide and short nail beds, you can also stick the strips across the nail. Start on one side of the nail and place the strip at an angle so that it extends across the entire width of the nail bed. If necessary, cut the strip to size with nail scissors.
If the UV Gel Strips have not yet hardened, they can be flexibly stretched to the right size. Don't worry if you touch the adhesive surface when stretching, degrease your fingertip beforehand and press the strips firmly into place.
If you have any further questions or need help, we will be happy to assist you.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the packaging will reproduce the exact colour of the UV Gel Strips. This is due to the different printing processes. The packaging is printed using the offset process, similar to your printer at home, with the 4 basic colors cyan, magenta, yellow and K, key color (black). The UV Gel Strips are mixed by hand for each batch according to a color recipe, most comparable to mixing wall paint in a DIY store. Therefore, there may be slight variations between batches. When making your selection, you can use the preview images in the Maniko online store as a guide to what the colours will look like. However, bear in mind that there may also be differences between different monitors."
If your Maniko Nails lose their shine over time, there is a simple solution to refresh them and make them shine again. The loss of shine can be due to various factors such as everyday wear and tear or contact with chemical substances, and to restore the shine of your Maniko Nails, we recommend applying a layer of top coat.
The top coat forms a protective layer over the nails and gives them a beautiful shine. You can also apply a UV Top Coat of your choice, just be careful not to brush over the edges so that you can easily remove the UV Top Coat with your Maniko Nails and no residue is left behind.
If your natural nails are weakened or damaged, it's important to give them an extra dose of care and attention. Here are some tips to support and strengthen your natural nails:
1. Proper removal: it is very important to remove the Maniko Nails carefully and with plenty of remover serum. Never pull the strips off the nail. Remove the adhesive layer carefully and, above all, without applying pressure. See tips for correct removal here.
2. A simple method to pamper and strengthen your natural nails is a milk bath. The milk bath provides the nails with moisture and nutrients that help them to regenerate. You can integrate the milk bath perfectly between applications as a care step. Recipe: 200-300 ml whole milk (or almond/oat milk)1 pinch of salt2 tablespoons of almond oil1 teaspoon of honeyHeat the milk and mix all the ingredients together. Soak your nails in it for 10-15 minutes. Done! You will see a difference immediately. You can also carefully smooth your nails with a polishing file. Before reapplying, make sure to carefully remove all oil residue so that your Maniko Nails last optimally.
3. Use Maniko Cuticle Oil regularly. Gently massage the oil into the cuticles to strengthen and moisturize them, allowing your nails to grow back healthy.
4. Pay attention to a healthy diet: A balanced diet with sufficient intake of vitamins, minerals and proteins is important for the health of your nails. Pay special attention to nutrients like biotin, vitamin E, and omega-3 fatty acids, which are known to promote nail health. If you have severely damaged nails, wait until they have recovered before using.
Do a milk bath every 3 days and use cuticle oil daily. If you have serious problems, please contact a doctor/dermatologist.
